What is data protection law?
The area of data protection relates to the laws incorporated into the Republic of Cyprus through the General Data Protection Regulation. All businesses in Cyprus are obligated to follow relevant rules and laws in pursuit of maintaining the privacy of individuals and protecting their personal data. Failing to follow the law on data protection can lead to significant fines from the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
